Virginia Lee (Jorgensen) Petersen, 95, formerly of Lincoln, KS, died Sunday, October 8, 2017, in Salina. She was born August 26, 1922, in rural Lincoln County Kansas, to Hans Jensen and Myrtle Belle (Dalton) Jorgensen. She was preceded in death by: her parents; spouse, John Stephen Petersen; brothers, Lyle, Rex, and Keith Jorgensen; sisters, Opal LaFern Jorgensen and Verna (Glassburn) Eckhart. Left to celebrate her life include: son, Steve Petersen (Vicki), of Lincoln; daughters, Carla Petersen (spouse Sharon Vanbutsel), of Venice, FL, and Wenda Plunkett, of Salina; brother, Pete Jorgensen, of Salina; sister, Delores Campbell, of Lincoln; grandchildren, Sean Petersen, Donovan Huehl, Gerri Huehl; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: 1-7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 17th, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln. Family present 5-7:00 P.M. Service: 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 18th, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln.
