Virginia Jackson Obituary

From: Lincoln KS
Virginia L. Jackson, 78, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Lincoln. She was born Aug. 15, 1936, in Nemaha County, Kansas, to L.W. & Erna (Stauffer) Meyer. Virginia was retired from Southwestern Bell. Ginny was loved by all and best known by many names Virginia, Ginny, Grandma, Great-Grandma & Mago. Everyone who met her knew immediately she was someone special. You always knew where you stood with Ginny, and never had to wonder what was on her mind. Her outspoken nature and love for her family was what endeared her to everyone. Her home was the family gathering place, and she always looked forward to a houseful of children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren to love, smoochy kiss, and give a little pinch or pat on the behind. She loved to garden, and spent countless hours working on her beautiful flower beds, and enjoying her yard and porch. She always looked forward to her little out-of-town antiquing & junk store shopping trips with family members, and her special friend, Marilyn. She also loved visiting with her sister, Beverly, and her brother, Russell, on the phone, and always looked forward to their visits to her home in Lincoln. One of the most unique things about Ginny was that she was the mother of two sets of twins. All boys, all born on the same day eight years apart. We always felt that she should have contacted the Guinness Book of World Records, because we felt that had to be a special feat in history! She is survived by her sons: Kerry (Cindy) Jackson, Lincoln, KS, Ken (Stacey) Jackson, Osborne, KS, Kelly Jackson, Asheville, NC, Kevin Jackson, Abilene, KS & Kris Jackson, Abilene, KS; two brothers: Russell (Bonnie) Meyer, Owasso, OK, Clark (Eileen) Meyer, Oneida, KS; one sister: Beverly Barker, Savannah, MO; 8 grandchildren: Clint (Amy) Jackson, Carla (Geoffrey) Renyer, Lindsay (Shannon) Mog, Luke Jackson, Karl Jackson, Shaun (Jaymi) Jackson, Shelby Willis & Alex Jackson; 8 great-grandchildren: Claire & Quincy Jackson, Colton & Faith Renyer, August & Ashton Mog, Sullivan & Oliver Jackson, and many nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Kathy Jackson Willis. Cremation was chosen, and there will be no visitation. Inurnment and a private family graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Abilene Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center in care of Hall Funeral Home, Lincoln, KS. ยป View what others have shared.
