From: Lincoln KS Vernon Roy Rathbun, 93, of Lincoln, KS, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at his home. Vernon was born in rural Lincoln County, KS, on Oct. 29, 1920, to Arthur Vernon and Lydia (Crawford) Rathbun. He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Madonna Mastellar Rathbun; brother, Richard; sister, Darlene Hendrickson. Left to celebrate his life include: sons Roy (Cheryl) of Ellis, KS, Randy (Barbara) of Barnard, KS, and Rod (Shelia) of Newton, KS; sisters Roberta Lebien of Hutchinson, KS and Bonnie Feeney of Abilene; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 8, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, KS. Inurnment in Union Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Barnard Community Building.
