Vera Marie Crawford, who was born March 11, 1912, to Falle H. and Anna Elizabeth Jensen Dahl at Denmark, KS, passed away March 27, 2011. She was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church where she was a member of the chancel choir for many years and was active as a member on many committees. She was also a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries of Lincoln, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband Max, son Kenneth Roger, brothers Emery and Finley Dahl and sister Evelyn Dahl Coyle. Her survivors include her son, Royce and wife Marilyn, Salina, KS, granddaughters Suzanne M. Dougherty (Bruce), Kansas City, KS, Andrea J. Leavitt (David), Overland Park, KS, and Lisa Crawford-Denk (Timothy), Andale, KS; great grandchildren Jacob Dougherty, Luke Leavitt, Harrison, Ethan and Gilliam Denk and sister-in-law Amy Dahl, Salina, KS. Vera was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her house was always kept neat and clean and the windows shined. Her family looked forward to enjoying her delicious dinners that she enjoyed preparing. And, she was always prepared to bake a pie for a church function. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones. A graveside service was held at the Lincoln City Cemetery on April 1, 2011. Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church, Lincoln, KS or a charity of the donor's choice.
