From: Lincoln KS Velma Strathmann, 97, of Lincoln, KS, died Monday, February 10, 2014, at Lincoln Park Manor. Velma was born on the homestead in rural Lincoln County on July 28, 1916, to Fred and Hulda (Steinhaus) Zier. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Erwin Strathmann; brothers, Virgil, Raymond and Wilford Zier; infant brother and infant sister. Left to celebrate her life include: daughter, Jeanne (Don) Crow of Arlington, TX; granddaughter, Andrea (Mike) Cockrell; grandson, Brett (Kelly) Crow, and great-granddaughters, Catherine and Claire. Visitation is 1-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, KS. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 13, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Lincoln Park Manor. ยป
