BEVERLY
Sydnie Jean Norton, 15, of Beverly, Kansas passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. Sydnie was born in Salina, Kansas on August 15, 2005 to Tony Norton and Nicole (Young) Black.
Sydnie was a member of Beverly Community Church where she attended services with her family and was active in the church youth group and Awana. Sydnie was a sophomore at Lincoln High School, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad, National Honor Society, Scholars Bowl and Kay Club.
Sydnie had an undeniable light within her. This light encompassed all the things Sydnie was passionate about, her faith in, and love of God, her love of family, and her love of friends whom Sydnie would describe as her bonus family. Sydnie possessed the innate ability to make those around her happier just by being in her presence. Her sweet spirit and charming smile left an imprint of love on the hearts and souls of her family, her friends, and her community. Sydnie knew how to let her light shine, and this is the legacy Sydnie leaves those who mourn her...a light which cannot be extinguished.
Sydnie is survived by her mother and stepfather, Nicole and Neal Black of Beverly, Kansas; her father, Tony Norton of Gypsum, Kansas; her siblings, Madison Norton, Kaile Black, Chase Young, and Brayson Young; her grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sydnie was preceded in death by her uncle, Sid Young and by her great grandmother, Melva Norton.
Visitation will be held 1-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, Kansas with family present 5-7p.m.(masks will be required).
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Bennington Bible Church.
A private burial will take place at Greenville Cemetery in Niles, Kansas.
