Ruth A. Modrow, 80 and formerly of Lincoln, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011, in Council Grove, KS. She was born November 21, 1930, in rural Lincoln County to George and Frieda (Dunmeier) Peterman. She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy (Dan) Davies of Beloit, Sue (Phillip) Brown of Lincoln, KS, and Tammy (Scott Core) Modrow of Council Grove; grandchildren: Amy, Donald and Stacey Davies, Jayme Falder, Jeremy (Joleen) Brown, Jennifer (Rich) Norville; great grandchildren: Morgan, Zoe, Coyce and Harlie. Preceding her in death were: her parents; husband Roy Q. Modrow; brothers Pete and Bill Peterman; sister Elfrieda Schneider. Service - 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2011, graveside at Lincoln City Cemetery with inurnment following the service. There will be a luncheon for family and friends at noon at Lincoln Park Manor. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. »
