Richard Norris

Richard Leroy Norris was born May 19, 1944, in San Diego, California. He passed away in his home in Sylvan Grove, Kansas, on or about September 18, 2014. Richard attended Lutheran High School in Denver, Colorado. In 1964 he joined the US Navy. He was assigned to the USS Wasp and was part of the retrieval crew for two Gemini Space Flights that landed in the Atlantic Ocean. Richard leaves behind memories of his laughter, his inquisitive nature and his never ending desire for good natured fun. He is survived by his cousin David Voskamp and his wife, Joyce, of Bailey, Colorado. He is also survived by his close friends in Denver and Sylvan Grove. He is proceeded in death by his father Roy Norris and mother Geraldine Norris. He will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on December 5, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. with full military honors. » View what others have shared. »
