Reta Wilbeck passed away in Fort Smith, AR, December 18, 2011. She was born near Hunter, KS, on April 11, 1918, to Richard Elzon and Adelia Regania Sigel Sperry. August 1, 1937, she was united in marriage with Henry John Wilbeck. Four children blessed this union: James Richard, John Richard, Janet Kay and Mary Joanna. Reta accepted Christ as her savior at age 13. She was an active, faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, and in later years enjoyed the fellowship of the Beverly Community Church. She is survived by: son, John Wilbeck and wife Margaret of rural Lincoln; daughters, Janet Bell and husband Charles of Green Forest, AR and Mary Wirth and husband Randy of Greenwood, AR; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Marie Pottenger of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Jimmy, one sister and 5 brothers. Visitation - Wednesday, December 21,at Hall Chapel, 1-7:00 P.M. with family present 5-7:00 P.M. Service - 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 22 at Hall Chapel. Interment in Lincoln City Cemetery will follow service. Memorials may be made to Beverly Community Church or the Gideons.
