Perry K. West, 68, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013. He was born July 18, 1944, in Lincoln, to Keith and Joyce (Sparks) West. Perry was a farmer-stockman in Lincoln working on the family farm in the Rocky Hill community for the past forty years. He loved his animals which was evident in his loving care of them. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he loved very much. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling and riding around in his pickup with his beloved dog Daisy. He will be remembered as a good friend to many and was always ready to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He is preceded in death by: his parents; grandparents, Howard and Olive West and Taylor and Irene (Walter) Sparks. He is survived by: his wife, Donna; sons, Monte (Heather) West and Mitchell (Sarah) West; daughter, Megan (Bob) Choitz; and grandchildren, Austin West, Emma West, Katie Metz, Loden West, Lexi West, Hadley West, Rex West, Gunner Choitz; sister, Valerie (Bruce) Fitzgerald; brothers, Lonnie (Paula) West and David (Donna) West. He is also survived by his extended family: Kimberly (Jon) Gwin; Lisa (Kent) Green; grandchildren, Spencer Gwin, Seth Gwin, Sierra Gwin, Jordan Green, Ryan Green, John Green, Rachel Green and Rebekah Green. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: 1-7 p.m Wednesday, March 13, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, KS, with family present 6-7 p.m. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, Lincoln United Methodist Church.
