Edith Nadine Finch, 98, of Lincoln, died Sunday, November 15, 2015, in Lincoln. Nadine was born in Greeley, KS, on July 25, 1917, to Andrew Boyd and Iva Lavina (Ramsey) Spencer. She married V. W. "Bud" Finch August 2, 1939, in Mound City, KS, and celebrated 54 years of marriage before his death on August 9, 1993. She worked for Kansas Telephone of Topeka at Greeley and was the chief operator at Mapleton, KS. She and Bud moved to Lincoln in 1942, and together operated the Finch Theater for over 20 years. She was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Finch Theatre Foundation. She was preceded in death by: husband, V. W. "Bud" Finch; son, Bobby Finch; infant daughter, Deanne Lou; brothers, Lloyd and Wayne Spencer; sisters, Eva Mae Spencer, Dorothy Gladys Stevenson, Hazel Stevenson, Lela Arnold, and Georgia Morris; and one granddaughter. Left to celebrate his/her life include: sons, Daryl Finch, of Healdton, OK, Alan Finch, of Hays, Terry (Diane), of Lincoln; daughters, Carol Purdy, of Hays, Dianne Ellenberger, of DeSoto; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Visitation: 1-7:00 P.M. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln. Family present 5-7:00 P.M. Funeral service: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Lincoln United Methodist Church, with inurnment in Lincoln City Cemetery at a later date.
