O. Maxine (Chamberlain) Mettner Darrow, 101, formerly of Lincoln, KS, died Sunday, October 8, 2017, in Newton. She was born August 10, 1916, in Loveland, CO, to James Orison and Mary Ethel (Burns) Chamberlain. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two spouses, James Mettner and Floyd Darrow; son, James Mettner; brothers, Lowell and Harold Chamberlain. Left to celebrate her life include: son, Patrick Mettner (Linda), of Salina; daughters, Ellen McNamara (Michael), of Leavenworth and Becky Lyn McNamara (Kelly), of Valley Center; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Cremation was selected and a private family inurnment in Roselawn Cemetery, Salina, will be held at a later date.
