Mary Margaret (Knudsen) Steinhaus

  Mary Margaret (Peggy) Steinhaus, 85, passed away peacefully Thursday night, July 20, 2023 in Minneapolis, KS. She was born February 21, 1938 at St. John's Hospital in Salina, KS to Carl and Elizabeth (Noon) Knudsen. Mary married Ralph Steinhaus on October 18, 1958 in Lincoln, KS. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Altar Society.

  Mary is survived by her sons, Steven Steinhaus (Gretchen Griffith) of Carneiro, KS and Mark Steinhaus (Tina) of Lincoln, KS; a granddaughter, Amber Steinhaus of Ellsworth, KS and 4 great grandchildren, Ryley, Jaxson, Brooklynn, and Liam; and a grandson Justin Dean (Raquel) Andover, KS and 2 great grandchildren Kelcee, and Paxton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Elizabeth; husband, Ralph; brother, Carl Jr.; and close cousin, JoAnn Huehl.

  Visitation: 4-6 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, KS with a rosary and vigil service following at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

  Funeral mass: 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Lincoln, KS with burial following at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.
