Keith Duane Suelter, 80, of Westfall, KS, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in Ellsworth, KS. Keith was born in Lincoln, KS, on December 10, 1935, to Edmund and Louise (Aufdemberge) Suelter. He was baptized on December 22, 1935, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Westfall, Kansas, and was confirmed at the same church on April 10, 1949. Keith attended grade school in Westfall and at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Keith graduated from Beverly High School. His senior year he drove the fuel truck if there were deliveries to make. He worked for his dad at Suelter Service after school and on Saturdays. Keith was in the United States Army from 1958-1960. He was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri and Fort Benning in Georgia. Keith returned to the family business after service and married Clara Wacker on January 5, 1964. Keith and Clara purchased Suelter Service from his parents in 1979 and they operated the business until April, 2007. They also owned a service station in Tescott for many years. Keith was well known for selling tires. Keith was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church his entire life and held several church offices. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Suelter. Left to celebrate his life include: his wife, Clara (Wacker) Suelter of Westfall; daughters, Linda Suelter (Bryan Perry) and Janet Suelter (Randy Moore), both of Westfall; sister Carol (Arlie) Haymond of Ellsworth. Visitation: 1-7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 21, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln. Family present 5-7:00 P.M. Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 22, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with interment following in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Church » View what others have shared.
