LINCOLN
Judith M. Pescador, 84, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 in Lincoln, KS. She was born September 17, 1941 in Louisville, KY to John and Elizabeth (Hussmann) Vanover. A resident of Lincoln since 1969, Judith was a restorative nursing aide at the local nursing home and then at the Lincoln County Hospital long-term care unit. She married Simon Pescador in Lincoln, KS on October 4, 1969. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Lincoln and active with church’s altar society.
Judith is survived by her daughters, Sharon Thompson of Hays, KS and Melissa Gurney (David) of Lincoln; sons, John Pescador (Gwen) of Salina, KS and Joseph Pescador of Lincoln; grandchildren, Eric, Amanda (Aaron), Andrew (Brianna), Whitney (Jordan), and Samantha; great grandchildren, Oliver, Kai, AJ, Brynlee, Cora, Sylis, Freydyn, and Rayna; a sister, Linda Clark (Tim) of Louisville; and brother-in-law, Jesus Pescador. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Simon; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Visitation: 1-7 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Hall Chapel funeral home in Lincoln. Family will be present to greet visitors 6-7 p.m.
Funeral mass: 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2025 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lincoln with burial following at St. Patrick’s Cemetery south of Lincoln.
