Joyce Elaine Rathbun, 78, of Lincoln, KS, died Friday, November 28, 2014, in Salina, KS. Joyce was born in Hunter, KS, on June 15, 1936, to John T. and Wilma R. (Bruce) LaShell. She and Dale Rathbun were married on November 4, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Allen, J.D., and Bruce LaShell. Left to celebrate her life include: her husband of 63 years, Dale; son, Ron (Yolanda) of Lincoln; daughter, Connie (Jim) Kubick of Lincoln; brother, Gordon (Rita) LaShell of Salina; sisters Katherine (Harold) Smith of Salina, Karen (Gail) Appleby of Salina, Kim (Jim) Jarvis of Kansas City, KS, and Debra Henry of Ellis; sister-in-law, Connie LaShell.of Wilson; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is 1-7:00 P.M. Thursday, December 4, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, KS. Family will greet friends 5-7:00 P.M. Graveside service and inurnment is at 11:00 A.M.
