John Henry Cage, 85, was born July 22, 1928, to Hannah Viola Weiland and John Albert Cage in Highland, KS, and died November 24, 2013, in Fort Collins, CO. John was married to GladysMargaret Tiemann on June 6, 1959.John held several degrees and was a professor of funeral service practice at the University of Central Oklahoma (formerlyCentral State University) in Edmond, Oklahome, for most of his career. He spent the last year of his career as Dean of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.John was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, and his oldest daughter, Jan Elizabeth.He is survived by his second daughter, Kathryn Cage Elder, husband Scott and three grand children: Samuel, Grace, and Lucas. He is also survived by a third daughter, Mari Lee Chartier, husband Craig and three grand-children: Aidan, Julian, and Audrey.He was interred beside his wife, Gladys, in St John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lincoln, KS, on June 16, 2014; Pastor Gerald Radtke officiated.Memorials may be made to St John Luthersn Church, Lincoln KS.
