Jeanette Kay Burkey Glade, 70, of Edwardsville, Kansas, died on Friday, April 18, 2014. She died in Menorah Medical Center. She was born in Beloit, Kansas, February 8, 1944, to Bernard Bun and Lucille Burkey. Kay grew up in Mankato, Kansas. She worked for 42 years for the Department of Labor Management Standards. After retirement, she resided in Edwardsville, Kansas with her beloved dog, Poco. Kay was always boasting of her children: Pat Chadwick, Dale Glade, Pidgeon Davis, Mike Glade, Robbie Glade and Amanda Saathoff all surviving her. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dianna Summers; the love of her life, Bob Glade; her mother, Lucille Chambers; and her sister Janice Burkey. Kay leaves behind a large extended family and many friends. Graveside services will be held at the Beverly City Cemetery in Beverly, Kansas on Saturday, April 26th at 3 p.m. Kay is in the care of Hall Funeral Home, Lincoln KS.
