Hazel L. Jones, 89, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, in Lincoln, KS. She was born February 13, 1923, in rural Lincoln County to Newton Dallas and Jennie Edith (Stewart) Rathbun. Hazel married Roosevelt William Jones and together they ran a custom harvesting operation. Left to celebrate her life are: brother Dale (Joyce) Rathbun of Lincoln; sister-in-law Doris Rathbun of Lincoln, KS; son-in-law Jon Meyer; grandchildren Aaron Esterl, Shawn Esterl, Terryl Escamilla, Dawn Harlow, Heather Simms, Mandi LaRue, Brandon Tankersley, and Amber Archer; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son Merle Elton Jones; daughters Sandra Kay Ward and Cheryl Ann Meyer; brother Delbert Rathbun; sisters Avanelle Jones, Wanda Totman, and Cleo Geering; great-grandchildren Dalton Eric Meyer and Dustie Renae Harlow. Visitation - 1-7:00 P.M. Monday, August 13, at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, with family present 5-7:00 P.M. Funeral services - 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 14, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
