Harlan Chandler Obituary

From: Lincoln KS
Harlan "Charlie" Lee Chandler, 65, of Lincoln, KS, was born December 21, 1945, to Emerson and Lorna (Zoureveste) Chandler. He died December 26, 2010, at Salina Regional Health Center. Harlan, known to many of his friends simply as Charlie, had a tremendous love of family, sports, music and good food. As a caring father, he leaves behind two daughters, Chacqie Chandler, 36, of Raymore, MO and Kathryn Chandler, 32, of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Sophia Williams, 2, of Raymore, MO. A Jack-Of-Many-Trades, Charlie supported his family through the years by working in a lumberyard, as a construction worker helping to build the Ellsworth Correctional Facility, owning and operating a restaurant/bar and finally working food service at Mid-America Nursing Home. Retired since 2006, Charlie spent his free time with his friends at the VFW, bragging about his beautiful granddaughter, Sophia, and traveling to see his daughters. Visitation - Noon to 4:00 P.M. in Lincoln, KS at Hall Chapel on Saturday, January 1, 2011, followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 P.M. A celebration of Charlie's life will take place at the VFW hall immediately following the Memorial Service. Memorials can be made to the Lincoln Kansas VFW Auxiliary. ยป View what others have shared.
