LUCAS
Gerald D. Naylor, 82, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 in Lincoln, KS. He was born September 29, 1942 in Rooks County, KS to Verle and Lavon (Dougherty) Naylor. Gerald attended Codell and Plainville schools where he was active in FFA. He graduated from Plainville High School in 1960. He met and fell in love with Carol Davis and the two were married on November 22, 1964 in Plainville, KS. Gerald was a longtime resident of the Lucas, KS area where he farmed for over 60 years. He enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, shooting pool, and sports. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gerald is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Carol Naylor of Lucas; daughter Valerie Casey (Jay) of Natoma, KS; son Craig Naylor of Lucas; grandchildren, Eastin Casey Koester (Kody), Brittyn Naylor Bushell (DJ), Brogan Naylor (Sammi), Danica Casey Uhl, Bradee Naylor Panzer (Colton), Regan Casey Copple (Cody), and Bella Naylor; great grandchildren, Oakley, Kennedy, Hallie, Evelyn, Westlyn, Wacey, Walker, Slade, Hux, Maggie, and Elsie; sister Evelyn Naylor Burns (Steve); brother-in-law Ronald Bland; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Naylor Ryan, Mildred Naylor Bland, and Susan Naylor Mayberry; and great grandson Colson Panzer.
Memorial service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2024 at Lucas Community Church with inurnment following at the Lucas Cemetery.
