Elwyn Bell Obituary

LINCOLN

Elwyn LeRoy Bell went to be with his Lord in Heaven January 13, 2023 in Salina, KS. He was born the sixth child of Donald and Ava (Edinborough) Bell of Beverly, KS on June 21, 1955. He was raised on the farm and loved country life.

Elwyn married Tammy Smith on August 27, 1976 and was married 46 years. They quickly added three children: Conrad, Elisha, and Tess. Several years later they added to their family four more children: Tiffanie, Alex, Deric and Jess. Then came the innumerable grandchildren. He loved being a Grandpa and enjoyed telling everyone about his orneriness that he shared with his brother Daryl.

Elwyn enjoyed family, friends, fishing, politics, a good western, and card games. One of his favorite things was sharing a cold Coca Cola and a good story, and he had some good stories! Some of his favorite stories include: the time he shot two deer through the hearts with one bullet, and another time after “killing” and loading a deer in the back of the truck only to have it jump up and run away. He was really fond of showing the grandkids how he could still ride a bicycle backwards and so many more comical stories of the many hours he spent with the grandkids.

Most importantly, at the age of 9, Elwyn believed in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ his Savior. He enjoyed studying the dispensation of Grace and loved to discuss the Bible, especially 2 Tim 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Elwyn would want you to know that you too can be saved just as you are right now by believing 1 Cor. 15:3-4, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

We would like share with you the website of one of the last sermons that he shared with us.
