L. Eileen Broberg, 97, of, Lincoln, KS, died Friday, December 1, 2017, in Lincoln. She was born January 28, 1920, in rural Lincoln County, to Clarence and Elsie May (Hall) Broberg. After graduating from high school, Eileen attended Kansas State University where she graduated magna cum laude and went on to earn 2 masters degrees. Eileen was a bacteriologist with supervisor responsibilities in Wichita, before she retired and returned to Lincoln County. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Eldon, and three sisters: Thelma and Hazel Broberg and Faye Shambaugh. Left to celebrate her life are nieces Linda McBride and Joyce Shambaugh, cousin Helen Hurley and many friends and neighbors.. The register book is available 1-5:00 P.M. Thursday, December 7, at Hall Chapel. Service: Friday, 11:00 AM, December 8, graveside, Lincoln City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lincoln Carnegie Library.
