Dorthea Nadine Webb was born July 2, 1921, in Ellsworth County to Jerry and Mamie (Vondra) Slechta. She attended Vinegar Hill and Paradise country grade schools and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1938. She married Melvin Webb in 1940. They lived and farmed for 50 years in the Westfall community. They retired and moved to Salina in 1990 and became members of the Sunrise Presbyterian Church. She was a sixty-year member of the Order of The Eastern Star and Past Queen of Daughters of the Nile and a member of Social Order of Beaueceant, all of Salina Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Melvin. Survivors are son Bruce (Deb) Webb of Osborne; two grandaughters, Jonna Byerly of Shawnee and Adrian Lyon of Osborne; and grandson Ben Webb of Phoenix; five great-grandchildren and many special friends. Services will be held at Sunrise Presbyterian Church, Salina, on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be at Hall Chapel, Lincoln, on Friday from 1 to 7 PM and at the church one hour before the service. Interment will follow in the Lincoln City Cemetery next to Melvin.
