From: Vesper KS Dorris Irene (McGeary) Nelson, 87, of Vesper, KS, died Tuesday, October 27th in Rose Hill, KS. Dorris was born in rural Lincoln, KS on July 21, 1928, to Earl and Maude McGeary. She was proceeded in death by: husband, Jay Nelson; brother Dwayne McGeary, sisters Betty (Price) Utt, Nina Snyder and Lois Cheney; daughter Sandra Finch. Left to celebrate her life include: sisters Bonnie Langer and Phyllis Purcell of Superior, NE; sons Dennis (Lannie) Nelson of Agra, KS, William (Melodie) Nelson of Vesper, KS and Ron (Jodi) Nelson of Denmark, KS; daughter Jayelene (Gene) Stoffell of Holcomb, KS; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 1 to 7 PM with family in attendance from 5 to 7. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday in Hall Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Denmark Hall.
