Dorothy L. Claussen, 88, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Lincoln Park Manor. She was born eight miles north of Barnard, on the Weir Ranch, to William Thomas and Ruth Ann (Perkins) Houston on February 24, 1923. Surviving her are: sons Gerald (Germaine) Schroeder of Salina and Bob (Shirley) Schroeder of Ellsworth; daughters Susan (Richard) Lantz of Wilson, Judy (Fred) Fuller of Lincoln, Lyla Schroeder of Salina, Lynne (Jim) Fink of Hugoton, Jacquetta (Brad) McFarland of Colorado Springs, CO, and Elaine (Steve) Buescher of Topeka; sisters Bonnie DeLano of Ottawa and Ann Crawford of Sylvan Grove. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands Lyle Schroeder and Waldo Dean Claussen; sons infant Wayne Schroeder, Max Claussen and Mark Claussen; brothers Phil Houston and Bill Houston. Visitation - Monday, October 3, 1-7:00 P.M. at Hall Chapel. The family will be present 5-7:00 P.M. Service - Tuesday, October 4, 10:00 A.M. at Hall Chapel.
