Donna Jean (Block) Meyer

VESPER

  Donna Jean Meyer, 79, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021, in Lincoln, KS. She was born January 3, 1942, in Vesper, KS to Howard and Alice (Meili) Block.

  Donna was a longtime resident of Vesper. She married Rupert Martinez in Lincoln in 2008. She was a faithful member of the Vesper Presbyterian Church until it closed.

  Donna is survived by her husband, Rupert Martinez of Vesper; daughters, Peggy Cooksey (Randy) of Oakley, KS and Sonya Zachgo (Robert) of Vesper; grandchildren, Robert Cooksey (Sonya), Alicia Chatfield (Heath), Randy Cooksey, Jr., David Cooksey (Randa), Shawn Venters (Kristal), and Craig Venters (Adrian); 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Lannie Nelson (Dennis) and Nancy Nelson (Gary); and two nieces, two nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Matthew Cooksey.

  Funeral service: 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021, at Parsons Funeral Home – Hall Chapel, Lincoln with burial following at the Vesper Cemetery.
