From: Lincoln KS Donna Jeane Lewick,88, was born February 20, 1926, in Lincoln, Kansas, to Louis Martin and Carrie (McFarland) Hendrickson, and died April 18, 2014, also in Lincoln. Donna Jeane was joined in marriage to Alvin Lewick, Jr., on July 19, 1946. They were lifetime residents of Lincoln and members of the United Methodist Church. She worked for the local ice cream parlor in high school, plus did book work for Crawford Plumbing and Lincoln City Hall, and was secretary for the Lincoln Grade School. Alvin and Donna Jeane were co-owners of Hall Furniture and Mortuary with Alvins brother Bob and his wife Leah Mae Lewick. Donna Jeane was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, on March 2, 2005; daughter Peggy Jo Richardson in 2001; sister Chloris Lewick; and brother Dean Hendrickson and his wife Darlene. She is survived by two daughters: Ardith Ann (Gale) Kruckenberg of Lincoln, and Mona Kaye Flaherty of Bixby OK; five grandchildren, Trina (Ron) Flaherty, Trese (Kevin) Krueger, Shannan (Daniel) McClain, Michael (Jackie) Flaherty, and Deacon Howell; and nine great-grandchildren. Alvin and Donna Jeane enjoyed traveling in their motor home to Wilson Lake and to World War Two reunions with Army buddies. Donna Jeans was an avid needle artist, giving out many dishrags to family and friends. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends. Her funeral was Tuesday, 22 April 2014 at the Hall Chapel with interment following in the Lincoln City Cemetery.
