Dennis Duane Nelson, 68, of Lincoln, KS, died Monday, April 1, 2013, surrounded by loving family. He was born June 24, 1944, in Ellsworth County to Norris Nathaniel and LaVona (Hurlbut) Nelson. Left to celebrate his life include: his wife, Beverly, of the home; sons, Michael and wife, Rosanna, Nelson of Lincoln and Jason Young of New York City; daughters, Daphne Nelson of Orient, WA and Stephanie Street of Lincoln, KS; brother, Richard and wife, Karen, Nelson of Lucas, KS; sisters, Vicki and husband, Steve, Petersen of Lincoln, KS and Janis and husband, Tim, Leach of Topeka; twelve grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation with family - 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 4, 2013. Service - 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 5, 2013, at Hall Chapel. Memorials may be made to Wilson High School Alumni Association.
