Delbert Lee Schroeder

RIVERSIDE, CA

  Delbert Schroeder was born on April 18, 1934, on a farm near Denmark, Kansas. He was a great man who lived a full and accomplished life and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

  Delbert is survived by his loving wife, Caroline Schroeder; his three sons, James, Ralph, and Duane; and his grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly.

  As a child, Delbert attended the two-story schoolhouse on 120th and Pike Road, often riding his horse to school. He later graduated from high school in Lincoln, Kansas. After graduation, Delbert worked as a lineman in Russell, Kansas. In 1964, he moved his family to California, where he began working for the City of Riverside. He was a dedicated employee whose strong work ethic and commitment never went unnoticed.

  Always eager to learn and improve himself, Delbert attended Riverside City College while building a successful future for his family. He became involved in purchasing and managing rental properties and developed a reputation for being skilled at nearly everything he set his mind to.

  Electrical was his true passion. He understood electrical inside and out and could fix almost anything. Whether it was plumbing, electrical work, framing, concrete, or countless other projects, Delbert approached every task with knowledge, determination, and craftsmanship.

  Delbert was a remarkable man—hardworking, talented, and generous. He was truly one of the great ones, and his legacy will live on through the family he loved and the lives he touched.

  We will miss you, Dad. Your worth is beyond measure, and your memory will remain in our hearts forever.

  Private family services are planned. Burial will take place at Free Mission Cemetery.
