David Leslie Smith, Sr., 76, of Lincoln, KS, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Salina, KS. He was born February 10, 1934, in Lincoln County to Everett Wyath and Nannie Alvina (Lundstrum)Smith. Surviving him are: his wife, Clara; son David L. Smith, Jr. and significant other, Sherri Curtis, of Westfall; daughters Sherry Pickering of Lincoln, Konnie Budreau and husband, Lee, of Lincoln, Amy Buckland and husband, Ron, of Concordia; brothers Dan of Lincoln, Harold of Beverly; sister Elsie Bacon of Wheatland, WY; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bill, Bob, Delbert and Jim. A memorial service will be held at Hall Chapel on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 10:30 A.M. There will be no visitation, but the register may be signed any time Friday at Hall Funeral Home. Private inurnment in Lincoln City Cemetery will take place at a later date.
