LINCOLN

  Danny Lee “Dan” Heina “Hurricane Heina”, 61, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, surrounded by family at his home near Lincoln, KS. He was born June 28, 1963 in Belleville, KS to Charles and Sharil (Havel) Heina. Dan graduated from Hillcrest High School in Cuba, KS in 1981. He was a long-time resident of the Lincoln area where he was the Lincoln County Weed Department director and owner of Mid-Central Bail Bonds. Dan was a competitive rodeo contender for many years winning numerous championships. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a friend to many and was an inspiration to his family. Dan married Stephanie Ford on July 3, 2010 at their home near Lincoln.

  Dan is survived by his wife Stephanie of Lincoln; daughter Sabrina Bryant (Caleb) of Lincoln and her sons Clayton and Laramie; son Hunter Kline of Smith Center, KS and his sons Lane and Levi; daughter Sidney Briand (Cadence) of New Cambria, KS and her son Robert; son Travis Jones of Lincoln; twin brother Terry Heina (Rolinda) of Abilene, KS; cousin Andy Asch (Amy) Clyde, KS and his son Brendon; and cousin Brad Asch (Lisa) of Moore, OK and his son Nathan. Dan was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

  Visitation: 1-7 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Hall Chapel funeral home of Lincoln. Family will be present to greet visitors 4-7 p.m.

  Funeral service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Hall Chapel funeral home in Lincoln. Casual dress is encouraged. Burial will follow at Tabor Cemetery in Republic County, KS.
