Danny Michael (Mike) Blue, 60, was born November 2, 1951, in Pampa, TX, to Daniel Lee and Margry Louise (Johnston) Blue. He died Saturday, January 3, 2011. Surviving him are: sons, Michael and wife, Janie, of Independence, MO, Peter and wife, Shelly, of Glasco, KS; daughters, Katie Young and husband, Josh, of Lincoln, KS, Heidi Blue of New Cambria, KS; sister, Janie Wyatt and husband, Red, of Falun, KS; 11 grandchildren. Service - A Celebration of Life and Military Honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at VFW Post 7928 in Lincoln, KS. Memorials may be made to the Mike Blue Memorial Fund. The Grandchildren's Remembrances I learned a valuable lesson from Grandpa: don't drink out of a McDonald's cup that's not yours. - Ty He was the first man to hold and love me, teach me to ride a bike and play dice 'til 2:00 A.M. - Breanna I loved having Grandpa come down for the weekend to go hunting and fishing. There's nothing better than spending a week-end with your Grandpa. - Mason Grandpa would come to visit. We would come downstairs and he would be watching hunting and fishing on a bench Mom made in high school, right in front of the TV. - Kylie Playing finger football with Ty, and I would put my fingers down and Grandpa said, 'You mess with the bull, you'll get the horns'. - Brendan When I would wake up and Grandpa was watching hunting and fishing and I couldn't play my video games. - Tanner When Dolly would pull out on Grandpa's feet when she wanted to play. - Leslie I loved eating popcorn and watching SciFi with Grandpa. - Landen I love you, Grandpa.
