Clarence M. VonFange, 79, of Lincoln died Thursday, March 5, 2020. He was born June 24, 1940 to Melvin William Carl and Lucile (Bosch) VonFange. He served three years in the US Navy. He sailed on repair ships across the Pacific Ocean with stops in Hawaii and Japan. Clarence's work career was with the City of Lincoln. He began as a laborer and upon retirement in 2006, was Superintendent of the Water and Sewer Department. Clarence and Deloise Richards were married November 7, 1965 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, KS. Through the years they enjoyed traveling the state, enjoying the wildlife and beautiful scenery offered by Kansas. 52 years were shared, before her death in 2018. Clarence enjoyed making things out of wood. Every family member has items they treasure that were given to them for birthdays, Christmas, graduations. He is survived by two sons, Melvin VonFange, Salina and Jon VonFange, Broken Arrow, Okla; sister, Sandra (Keith) Sullivan, Prescott Valley, Ariz,; brother Larry (Quenana) Liggett, Tescott; sister-in-law, Evelyn Hamilton, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 1-7 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2020 at Parsons Funeral Home - Hall Chapel, Lincoln with family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March10, 2020 at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincoln with interment following in the church cemetery.
