LINCOLN
Charles E. Derryberry, Jr. was born May 26. 1943, the first son of Charles E. Derryberry Sr. & Frances O. Wauford Derryberry. He died April 6, 2026 at the age of 82 at the Lincoln County Hospital, Lincoln, KS.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; son Charles E. Derryberry III; brother Anthony (Tony) Derryberry; and granddaughter Danielle Miles. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Lynn Fowler of Portland, TN; grandchildren, Sheree and Desiree; eight great grandchildren; sister Connie Crawford (Stan) of Lincoln; brother Mike (Paula) of Murfreesboro, TN; and nieces and nephews.
Charles graduated from David Lipscomb High School in Nashville, TN in 1961. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Nashville and was employed by Nashville Electric Service from 1962 until his retirement in 2003. He earned his pilot’s license and loved flying and sail boating. He moved to Lincoln in 2007.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Lincoln Cemetery.
