Charles Quentin Deiter, 85, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 in Beloit, KS. He was born November 10, 1937 in Hunter, KS to Charles E. and Nellie A. (Cambridge) Deiter.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Berta Whittemore; sons, David Deiter, Daniel Deiter, Rudy Gaytan, and Raul Gaytan; sisters, Allene Wiles and Ardis Jensen; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Darcine Sulsar and Charlotte Overman.
Charles was loved so dearly and brought so much happiness to the many hearts he touched. He grew up in Hunter on the family farm alongside his mother, father, and four sisters with whom he had a very close and loving relationship. Charles traveled many places, but Kansas was always where he called home. He achieved a tremendous deal throughout his lifetime. Charles was a master carpenter, an enthusiastic gardener, a kind brother, a veteran who served in the US Army for four years, a devoted father, and above all, a devout Seventh Day Adventist who loved his church family dearly.
Burial service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Hunter.
