From: Lincoln KS Cecil Lyle Von Fange, 87 of Lincoln, Kansas died Tuesday morning, May 13, 2014 in Lincoln. Cecil was born November 27, 1926 to Alvin John and Emma Pauline (Oetting) Von Fange on the family farm in Franklin Township, Lincoln County, Kansas. He was baptized on December 5, 1926 and confirmed on March 17, 1940, both in St Paul Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Kansas. Cecil graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1944. He was married on 20 August 1950 at St Paul Lutheran Church to Ardith Ilene Donley, this marriage was blessed with four children. Cecil farmed, trucked, and did construction work. His favorite past times were playing cards and bowling; his favored possession besides his wife and family was a JBC backhoe which he used on many projects. He was a lifetime member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Lincoln, Kansas and served as an Elder on the church council. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers Orville, Marvin and Leonard Von Fange. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Ardith, of the home; daughter Mickey (Stan) Suelter of Lincoln; son, Rodney (Lisa) Von Fange of Lincoln; daughters Cindy (John) Lyons of Farmington, NM, and Mariann Padayao of Greenbelt, MD; grandchildren Travis, Todd and Tyler Suelter, Jill Naasz, Ross Von Fange, Darien, Chris, Ben and Chad Lyons, Amy Gerner, Kyle Garrison and Brandon Padayao; great-grandchildren Ethan, Elijah and Emma Suelter and Gavin Gerner. Visitation is 1:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, May 16, 2014, at Hall Chapel in Lincoln, with family receiving friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, May 17, 2014, at St Paul Lutheran Church in rural Lincoln. Interment will follow in St Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
