HUNTER

  Betty Louise Jensen, 88, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022, in Salina, KS. She was born May 14, 1934, in rural Mitchell County, KS to Harold and Ruth (Clark) Deiter.

  Betty was a longtime resident of Hunter, KS where she was a bookkeeper for the Hunter Co-op, a member of the Bluebirds, attended the Hunter Grace Chapel United Methodist Church, and most importantly, was a housewife, mother and grandmother. She also volunteered as a librarian at the Hunter Library and spent many dedicated hours as a 4-H parent. She married Cleo Jensen on January 10, 1954, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. After 63 years of marriage, Cleo passed away in March of 2017. They are now reunited.

  Betty is survived by her sons, Ronald Jensen (Susan) of Odin, KS, Mark Jensen of Hunter, and Scott Jensen (Michelle) of Salina, KS; daughter Lisa Miller of Brownwood, TX; six grandchildren and five great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cleo; and sisters, JoAnn Jensen and Sharon Kadel.

  Funeral service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Parsons Funeral Home – Hall Chapel, Lincoln with burial following at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Hunter.
