Arvin Arnold Meier, 85, died January 5, 2019, in Osborne, KS. He was born to Johann Frederick August Meier and Valeria Ernestine Wacker on March 28,1933, on the farm in rural Lincoln County Kansas. He married Leana Pearl Bird in St. Paul's Lutheran Church on April 5,1953. Shortly afterward he was drafted into the US Army on May 28,1953. After completing his military service he returned to the farm and, with Leana, raised his family there. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leana; parents; three brothers, Arthur, Rudolph, and Duane; two sisters, Alvera Choitz and Lucia Behrens; and a grandson, Nick Novak. He is survived by son, Randy (Mary); two daughters, Sherry (David) Novak of Modoc, KS, and Marci (Doug) Rogers of Concordia; a sister, Arlene (Emil)Choitz; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The memorial book will be available for signing at Hall Chapel on Friday, January 11th. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 10:30 on Saturday the 12th.
