LINCOLN
Anna Mae Feldkamp, 104, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025 in Lincoln, KS. She was born October 23, 1921 in Verdon, OK to John and Sarah (Stevens) Howell. After graduating high school in Oklahoma, Anna Mae attended Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) in Stillwater, OK. There she met her future husband, Reinhold “Lefty” Feldkamp, who was there on a baseball scholarship. The two were married on January 16, 1941 in Stillwater. Soon Reinhold was drafted to serve in WWII, so Anna Mae put her schooling on pause and entered the workforce. Following the war, the couple moved back to Reinhold’s home in Lincoln County, KS. They raised two children, farmed, and Reinhold was a schoolteacher as well. After her children had left the home, Anna Mae returned to school on a personal mission to prove to herself that she could finish. She graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in teaching in 1974 the same day her son graduated from Kansas State University. She then began teaching fourth grade students at Osborne Elementary School where she remained for 15 years until her eventual retirement. A very proud accomplishment.
Anna Mae is survived by her daughter Mary Lynn Snyder of Ft. Worth, TX; son Ron Feldkamp of Lincoln; grandsons, Seth Feldkamp (Rachel), Ty Feldkamp (Jennifer), Will Feldkamp (Codi), Jared Snyder and Jevin Snyder; great grandchildren, Anna, Abigail, Ben, Ella, Emmery, Zoe, and River. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reinhold; two sisters and two brothers; and daughter-in-law Cynthia Feldkamp.
